Top five best platforms to learn skills.
I) Skillshare
If you want to learn some creative skills like drawing illustrations, video editing, photography, and creating content then you should definitely take a look at Skillshare. The only problem with skillshare is that it will take you to the just beginner level, it will not give you complete depth because they have that weird rule that you cannot upload a course of not more than two-three four-five hours. Now, this can be problematic as let’s say you want to learn video editing and you want to go from beginner to expert, there will not be just a single course unlike udemy as udemy will have a video editing course of 10-15 hours that you will not find on skillshare. Skillshare is affordable in price.
II) edX
If you want to learn soft skills let’s say you want to learn about how to negotiate with people, finance, and Business Management then edX is a better place as it has that influence from the college itself which provides you with a better experience. So basically what I am trying to say is if you want to learn soft skills or deep machine learning or algorithms like that stuff you should use edX as it would be a better place than skillshare or udemy. edX has courses from MIT, Harvard University, Indiana University, etc. edX is very much expensive as compared to SkillShare or Udemy.
Coursera is the same as edX. You can either choose edX or Coursera to learn soft skills. If you want to learn deep machine learning, data structures, or algorithms then they have an amazing course at Princeton University. Coursera is very much expensive like edX.
Udemy is great for people who want to learn web development or app development or people who want to get into coding by learning python, for these people Udemy can be very helpful. Udemy is great at these things let’s say you want to create some website, Android app, or iOS app as well so in these perspectives udemy is perfect and you should definitely take a look at this. It is affordable like skillshare.
You can learn almost any skill on Youtube and if you don’t have money don’t worry you can learn skills here for free but you will just go to the beginner level as the skills presented here are not that good as compared to Udemy, Coursera, edX, and Skillshare.
Conclusion
In terms of affordability and quality of content, Udemy can be a great choice but if you afford it and you want to learn soft skills like machine learning, data structures, or algorithms like that stuff you can use edX, or either you can use Coursera but if you want to learn creative processes like drawing illustrations, video editing, or photography and you are on a budget then you can use Skillshare as it is a good and affordable platform. But if you don’t have money and still want to learn skills so you can use YouTube as it is a good platform that will take you to the introductory level.
