Applied Python Projects: Building Real-World Applications

Overview

Put your Python knowledge into action by developing a complete Texas Hold'em Poker game and exploring advanced topics like regular expressions, virtual environments, and web scraping. Gain the confidence to tackle real-world programming projects and expand your skill set.

This course focuses on applying Python skills to real-world projects and advanced programming tasks. You will build a fully functional Texas Hold'em Poker game using object-oriented principles and test-driven development. The course also introduces regular expressions for text processing, virtual environments and package management for professional development workflows, and web scraping with Scrapy. By the end, you will have hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying Python applications, ready to solve complex programming problems.

Learners engage with project-based lessons, step-by-step walkthroughs, and targeted quizzes that reinforce advanced concepts. The course emphasizes practical application, guiding learners through the process of building and refining real Python projects for maximum skill retention.

This course is part three of a three-course Specialization designed to build a complete and cohesive understanding of the subject. While it offers valuable skills on its own, you'll gain the most benefit by progressing through all three courses as a structured learning journey.

This course is based on Learn to Code with Python, by Boris Paskhaver.
