This course teaches you about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in young children. We explore the critical symptoms of ASD and how to detect it early, including the importance as well as benefits of an early professional diagnosis. We then discuss how parents can manage stress and take care of themselves as well as their autistic children. In addition, we discuss the symptoms of separation anxiety disorder and how it is treated.
The course then explains how separation anxiety can lead to depression in children as well as how to handle it as parents, teachers and caregivers. We then discuss how to help preschoolers with separation anxiety. You will see how technology plays an important role in the communication and education of young children. We go on to examine the most important factors to consider when preparing a training plan for autistic children and explain the parents' role in children's academic and educational development.
Following that, we discuss the ways in which parents can communicate with their child's teachers for better collaboration. In addition, we show how parents can play a role in the schooling of autistic children. We furthermore examine how parents with autistic children deal with anger, anxiety and stress, as well as some tips for managing stress. You will also learn how a child with autism can achieve physical and mental health benefits through proper nutrition and sleep. This course is ideal for parents or teachers concerned about the development of children with ASD.
